Q:
When I isntantiate Kontakt 2 in Digital Performer 6 with Mac OS 10.5 Leopard, DP unexpectedly quits.
 
A:
Kontakt 2 is not compatible with DP6 and Leopard, however Kontakt 3 is compatible.
