Can I use the AES/EBU or S/PDIF inputs of my Line6 Pod or Bass Pod XT Pro for audio passthrough?
A:
Yes, you can do this (if absolutely necessary), it will pass a digital signal through from the input to output, but it is not recommended. According to Line6, even in bypass mode, the signal will still go through the processing and converters and will discolor the sound more than even running an analog signal. It's recommended to get an A-B switchbox for your digital connection, find a different input for each device, or run one of the devices analog.
