Q:
Why can't I hear anything from my EMU EmulatorX, 1820, 1212, or 0404 soundcard in Windows?
A:
Most likely, this is a PatchmixDSP configuration problem.
patchmix - check speaker port 1,2,3,4, try 4, it's always active, start new session 44.1 minimum +4 test tone under wave LR - right-click on signal generator. If they dont hear anything, leave test tone, exit patchmix, right click on 3 blue bars next to clock, choose restore defaults, reboot computer, usually works on reboot. either: started other non-44.1k session, speakers plugged into a jack not mapped, or they've had a program crash, asio is locked. if test tone works, it works, delete it. ------ 44.1 comes with ASIO 31-32 , Wave 1-2. No inputs, so they'll have to add that. from Casey @ EMU
