Instructions to Create an Alesis Masterlink OS disc using CDRWIN on your Windows PC
A:
1) Download the latest released OS ISO image file from the Alesis Web Site (alesis.com)
2) Download a copy of Goldenhawk's CDRWIN from their web site (goldenhawk.com) The latest version of Goldenhawk at the time of this document is version 3.8a. 3) Install CDRWIN on your PC. 4) Launch CDRWIN and select F i l e B a c k u p a n d T o o l s F i l e B a c k u p a n d T o o l s. 5) When the F i l e B a c k u p a n d T o o l s F i l e B a c k u p a n d T o o l s dialog box appears, select the following options: Backup/Tool Operation Backup/Tool Operation: Record an ISO9660 Image File Image filename e: (Should point to the downloaded file from Step 1) CDROM Recorder: CDROM Recorder: (Should be the CDR or CDRW drive in your machine) D i s c T y p e : D i s c T y p e : CDROM Finalize/Close Session: Finalize/Close Session: Checked Write Postgap: Write Postgap: Checked Track Mode: Track Mode: Mode1 Speed: Speed: (Any Speed) 6) Insert a blank CDR into your drive and click “START”. NOTE: Only record using CDR media. CDRW may not work inside your ML-9600. 7) Wait for the burning process to complete and click “OK”.
